For inspiration for the Seiko Arctura watch,
Hysek looked to the latest designs of motor cars and furniture where natural flowing lines
have replaced the sharpness and hard edges of previous years. Decoration has been stripped
down and simple smooth lines are to the fore.
To achieve the beautifully rounded case and continuity of the arc from case to bracelet in
the Seiko Arctura watches, Seiko drew on its expertise in manufacturing technology and the
use of MIM (metal injection moulding) for the solution.
